Research Interests

My research interests primarily focus on the quality of life for people with disabilities and the individuals who care for them. I seek to explore the determinants and predictors of quality of life (QOL) in informal caregivers, and then will design interventions to enhance the QOL for these individuals. Further, I plan to examine the contextual factors on retention in higher education for students with severe physical disabilities. I believe that in both of these research tracks, leisure plays a significant role in enhancing QOL and maintaining well-being.
